The Cordia Group of Institutes, situated in Lord Rana Edu-City, Sanghol, is a life-time vision of Rt. Hon. Lord Diljit Rana, Member House of Lords, a business tycoon and an NRI (Northern Ireland, United Kingdom), to transform the lives of rural youth through world class educational opportunities in an integrated campus with state of the art world class infrastructure, skill d in and personality development in an environment of excellent teaching and learning practices. Lord Rana’s childhood desire to do the best for the development and growth of Sanghol, his birth place, finally, along with the Members of the Sanghol Panchayat, and eminent educationists, culminated into the growth and development of the Cordia complex on the Chandigarh-Ludhiana highway.
Committed to education of rural youth and rural transformation, the Cordia Group in its beautiful green and educationally conducive environs is steadily progressing towards the realization of the ideals and vision of Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and its Chairman Rt Lord Diljit Rana.
INAUGURATION
The former President of India, a great visionary, scientist and teacher Late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who himself was committed to the rural development inaugurated this educational complex in 2005. Since then, committed to the education of rural youth, the Cordia Group of Educational Institutes has been a source of excellent education in Arts and Humanities, Computer Applications, Science (Medical and Non-Medical), Commerce and Business Management, Hotel and Tourism Management, Education and Skill Development programmes along with opportunities to provide international exposure to its students and faculty.

CORDIA FOOTBALL ACADEMY
Cordia-Southall Football Academy, Sanghol, established at Cordia Institutes Campus, is a joint initiative of Mr. Charanjit Singh Gill, Chairman, Southall Football Club, UK, and Rt. Hon Lord Diljit Rana, Chairman, Cordia Institutes, Punjab. The academy was jointly established and inaugurated by them on July 12, 2017.
HUNAR-SE-ROZGAR
The Government of India, Ministry of Tourism (the MoT in short) launched a special training initiative, christened Hunar Se Rozgar Tak ( HSRT in short) in the year 2009-10, for creation of employable skills amongst youth belonging to economically weaker strata of the society.

THE VISION
The CORDIA GROUP, a synonym of excellence in education, affiliated with UGC NAAC ‘A’ Grade accredited Punjabi University, Patiala, (India) and its professional courses and programmes approved by AICTE and NCTE, New Delhi is committed to the all round educational growth and personality development of rural youth, with special emphasis on girl child and those coming from disadvantaged and under-privileged sections of society. Its underlying ideology for excellence is panchmukhi shiksha, evolved during the ancient Indus Valley Civilization through experimentation to create balance among the five necessary dimensions of education- physical, practical, aesthetic, moral and intellectual, and, the modern scientific education.
Its integrated campus combines the modern scientific knowledge with the ancient knowledge base and wisdom, through its dedicated and conscientious faculty to achieve higher and higher in teaching-learning, explorations and research to build a knowledge base by linking it with the intellectual and cultural heritage of Indian society.
THE MISSION
The Cordia Group of Institutes, located in the Lord Rana Edu-City, Sanghol, an internationally known place of considerable archaeological and historical significance, is engaged in a continuous and concerted endeavour to go higher and higher in pursuit of excellence in inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary teaching and learning process. To build into an internationally reputed academic leader, in consonance with the spirit and ideals of India’s Constitution and international concerns to usher in a multicultural world by according equal opportunity to all for mutual respect, bilateral relationship and understanding, friendship, and cooperation. Sanghol, itself having been a meeting place of diverse cultures, people, economic activities and trade, is engaged in evolving innovative teaching and learning pedagogies, and, research in issues of regional, national and international significance, to achieve the ultimate goal of global peace, an atmosphere that meets the growing aspirations of youth and human society.

The Rt. Hon. Lord Diljit Rana, MBE, Baron of Malone, Member House of Lords, established Lord Rana Foundation Trust, UK & Smt. Jawala Devi Memorial Trust, India, in fond memory of his revered mother to promote educational and skill development levels of the rural youth thereby transforming their lives and the rural Punjab.
He is the Founder and Chief Executive of Andras House Ltd. a broad based company with substantial business interests in hotels, restaurants and commercial properties in Belfast (Northern Ireland)
Mr. Tony Blair, Prime Minister, United Kingdom decorated Mr. Diljit Rana with the prestigious position, Member House of Lords, UK in 2004 for his highly dedicated services in the regeneration of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Smt. Jawala Devi Memorial Trust (SJDMT), Sanghol (India), in the pursuit of highest ideals, rooted in the Indian educational traditions and ethos, reinforced by modern Indian philosophy of humanism, tolerance, reason and truth, has been engaged in promoting higher education in rural Punjab since 2005.
